Our Risk Reduction Measures

What You Can Do To Help!

  • We are operating at reduced capacity to ensure people have the ability for proper social distancing.

  • We are encouraging no more than 7 shoppers in the store at a time and will not allow additional entry if the number reaches 10.

  • We are requiring anyone over 2 years of age to wear a mask while in the store (see our Mask Policy on the home page for more info)

  • We offer a curbside option for those who cannot wear a mask or do not wish to come into the store. See our Curbside page!

  • We have distributed disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer throughout the store for customer use (when available from our suppliers).

  • We are wiping down frequently touched surfaces regularly throughout the day with a sanitizing solution recommended by the CDC.

  • Reusable grocery bags are still allowed. Customers must pack their own bags, and checkout counters are wiped down after their use.

  • Shopping carts and baskets are wiped down with a sanitizing solution after each use.

  • We are pre-packaging our deli items and many bulk items.

  • Outside containers for bulk items are not allowed at this time. We offer complementary containers for your bulk purchases.

  • Water refills are no longer self-service.

  • Dine-in seating has been removed.

  • We're offering curbside pickup and deliveries to members Monday - Friday (see our Curbside and Delivery pages for details)

  • We have Priority for At-Risk Shoppers hours:
8am-10am Monday - Friday. Thank you for your consideration!

  • We are restricting the number of staff that we have scheduled at the same time.

  • All delivery drivers are asked to only deliver to the back entrance and are also required to wear a mask to enter.

  • The back entrance is now staff and delivery only.

  • The kitchen and receiving area are now staff only areas.

  • We require all staff to complete a health report before each shift which includes a temperature check.

  • All staff are instructed to stay home if they have any of the main symptoms of COVID-19 or have come in direct contact with someone with COVID-19. We are following the recommendations of the Pierce County Department of Health regarding quarantine.

  • Do not enter the store if you are ill or believe you have had recent contact with someone who has COVID-19.

  • In order to comply with CDC recommendations and our store policy, please wear a mask when shopping at WE Market (see our Mask Policy on the home page for more info).

  • Do your best to maintain a 6ft distance between you and staff or other shoppers.

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow.

  • Refrain from whistling or talking loudly in the store.

  • Try to stick to one family member per shopping trip when possible. If you have children that can't stay at home, consider requesting curbside pickup!

  • Please minimize the amount of time that you are in the store to allow for more space for other customers. Have a shopping list to help you speed up your trip. Ask a staff member for help finding things!

  • Only shop Monday - Friday 8am-10am if you have one of the criteria that places you at higher risk for COVID-19 complications: 60+,  immunosuppressed, pregnant, or major underlying health conditions. Thank you for your consideration!

  • Ask about special orders for large quantities.

  • Leave your bulk containers at home. Bring-your-own containers for bulk are not allowed at this time. We have containers for your bulk purchases free-of-charge.

  • Plan your shopping trip for less busy times: currently after 3pm weekdays,  and after noon on Sundays.

  • We are still taking our milk bottles for deposit return. Please have them clean and give them to the cashier.

  • We are still taking clean paper pulp egg cartons. Please give them to a cashier.

  • We do still allow returns. If you are not a member, please present your receipt in order to make a return.

  • Ask a cashier about getting your water jugs refilled. Be prepared for this to take time to complete.

  • Reusable shopping bags are allowed. You must pack your own bags.

  • Only touch the products that you intend to buy.

  • Water refills are still allowed but only in containers 3 gallons or less purchased from the store specifically for the water dispenser.
