Rice Pilaf

This dish involves roasting rice before cooking it. 

Start with 1 Cup Rinsed Basmati Rice and 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil in large saucepan on medium heat. Stir until rice is browned, this will take about 5 minutes. Add 3 Cups Chicken Broth, 1 Cup Peas and 1 Cup diced Carrots. Bake in oven at 350 degrees covered for 40 to 50 minutes. You can add diced chicken, ham or kielbasa. Or if you want it vegetarian use vegetable broth, zucchini and olives. Enjoy
