Turkey in a Pot
You can make this soup two ways.
First: Roast a 15lb turkey. Shred the meat and cook the carcass in water for a couple hours. Saute onions, celery, add turkey broth meat and wild rice. Season with salt pepper and thyme. Add frozen or fresh corn. Serve!
Second: This is what I do in the store. Coax a 15Lb turkey into a pot by dividing it into legs, thighs, breast meat and cook in water. Strain and chill the broth. The next day cut up the meat. Saute onions, celery and garlic. Add the broth and wild rice. Then add the turkey, frozen corn and season.Turkey in a Pot
